  • Plant Tales & Morning Blooms🌱

My passion for gardening bloomed back in 2019, when I fell in love with the germination of a green bean and a chickpea seed. Even thought there are several images and videos that we have seen at school, never before had I seen it up close. From a small seed in hand, sown into the soil, to tiny sprouts and eventually delicate leaves. The process took me back to the simple truth that life, no matter how small, deserves awe. One of the very first plants I grew was the Aparajita, also known as the blue pea vine. It's flowers are a dazzling shade of blue, almost magical, and they come in different varieties, some with single leaves, and some with clustered ones. Mine had clustered leaves, and I fell completely in love with its beauty. I’ve always been obsessed with the color blue. For the longest time, I dreamed of having a blue rose, but when I learned that it doesn’t occur naturally, the Aparajita felt like the perfect alternative. Being a creeper, the vine soon spread gracefully across my window railings. Every morning, I would wake up to find several fresh blooms smiling at me. My very first ritual of the day was simple but joyful, I would count the number of flowers that had bloomed and adore the sapphire hues spread across the window. From flowering plants to vegetable-bearing ones, my collection has grown into quite a variety, suited to the Indian climate. I’ve even nurtured a few grass varieties and basic lawn weeds. I never really discriminated when it came to plant selection, I simply followed my intuition and adopted whatever I found pretty. As the age old saying goes - beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, the immense flora of our country is truly breathtaking. These days, many people take up gardening mainly for decoration, often choosing indoor plants that are praised for their aesthetics. But for me, plants have always been much more than decor. They’ve been a source of joy regardless of their market value or rarity. Sometimes, this joy even comes from the overlooked weeds in my backyard, tiny worlds in themselves, blooming with delicate flowers that are just as beautiful as the celebrated ones. A few of my favorite ones are Amrul ( Oxalis corniculata ), Krishnaneel ( Anagallis arvensis ), Kanailata ( Commelina diffusa ), etc. Kanailata ( Commelina diffusa ), Amrul ( Oxalis corniculata ),  Krishnaneel ( Anagallis arvensis ) There are countless ways I’ve added plants to my collection. Some came from nurseries, others were gifted by friends and family. A few I’ve grown from seeds I collected myself, while some started from cuttings that I rooted and nurtured. I’ve even picked up entire plants with their roots intact and brought them home to give them a new life in my pots. My plants have lived in earthen pots, ceramic pots, plastic pots, and sometimes even in recycled containers like old plastic bottles and ramen noodle cups. Each one has its own charm, and together they bring color and life into my home. Recently, I had to move a few plants upstairs due to the lack of sunlight at my window. That’s one of the struggles of living in a city, you don’t always have the space for a proper garden. Maybe that’s why I’ve ended up keeping at least one plant at almost every window in my home. Wherever I can make space, I do. Gardening has become an integral part of my world and I would love to learn more about your gardening stories as well. Let's Connect!

  • How to save a .png file on photoshop?

PNG files or ( Portable Network Graphics) are a great items to decorate any media be it posters, flyers, websites, portraits and also videos at times. Today while creating one myself I was unable to save my file as I could not even get the option to do so. I found all the other options on the dropdown like .psd, .pdd, .jpeg, .pdf etc. but not .png. This made me wonder.. why? I started with a blank canvas of 700x700 pixels and resolution 300 pixels/inch with a transparent background which should have been an ideal to save a png file. I created my image, merged all the layers and while saving I just could not find the option to save it in the .png format! It turns out that the reason the image could not be saved is because PNG files typically require RGB color mode and can be saved in either 8-bit or 16-bit channel formats. My canvas was set to CMYK with 8-bit. I went to the menu bar and selected Image -> Mode -> RGB. I then tried saving the image once again and this time I found my .png option on the dropdown! PNG is a file format designed for digital use and supports only RGB colors (Red, Green, Blue), which work perfectly for screens and websites. On the other hand, CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) is used for printing because it matches the way printers apply ink. Since PNG was never meant for print, it cannot truly store CMYK colors. In case we have to use CMYK images for printing with transparent backgrounds ( t-shirt, mugs, stickers, packaging, etc. ) we should use formats like TIFF, PDF, AI, or PSD, which support both high-quality print and transparency. The golden rule is: use PNG for web and digital graphics, and use CMYK file formats for print design. At the end of the day, every detail we explore—whether it’s colors, files, or formats—brings us closer to creating something beautiful. Thanks for reading, and I’d love to hear your thoughts too!

  • Why this website?

Hello World! This is the first blog post of this website and i found it fair to start the journey with this question which I am sure many will be asking in the beginning. Like every other website this also has some purpose and goals. I have been wanting to create a proper website all by myself for quite some time now. i did design a few web pages and a few one-page landing page based websites for my project and at work but nothing of this level. I used my time to keep notes of how I want to do it and thus kept creating a rough idea. Being a digital marketer I believe that a website is one of the most powerful tools for branding and marketing and making a website from scratch and working with all the elements of it will help me have an upper hand at brushing my skills. Having a website of my own will also provide me to have a creative outlet where I can share my ideas and thoughts through blogs. ]in terms of designing, this was a fun project for me where i pushed myself to bring out the creativity with every section and slides. from working on the brand guideline to creating the layout, it was fun and definitely gave me an opportunity to showcase a few of my design skills.
